Tubeless tyres are sealed to the rim and use air pressure without an inner tube. Repairs involve plugging or patching from inside. Tube-type tyres have an inner tube that needs to be removed, patched, and refitted. Tubeless repairs are generally faster and more durable.
Professional patches done correctly are permanent and can last the life of the tyre. We use hot vulcanizing patches and mushroom plugs for tubeless tyres which create a strong, air-tight seal. However, sidewall damage or large punctures may require tyre replacement.
